A little disappointing to see the ‘10 most annoying people’ article shared here. I understand it’s “meant” to be humorous but at its heart it’s derisive and prejudicial. There’s more than enough of that kind of material out there; I’d rather not be directed to any of it here.
That's a fair comment Rhona. I took it as a light-hearted 'what to expect' angle for new students. But I see your point of view too, which I hadn't really considered. Glad you spoke up, feedback helps me get the mix of things right.
I'm the opposite, it's always humorous reading these sorts of local opinion pieces. Derisive sure, prejudicial though? It's not calling any specific person out - if you, armed with the opinions in the article, go on to prejudice someone, that's on you...
