🌤️ Good morning Edinburgh. Here’s Thursday’s Edinburgh Minute.
🎭 A new plan aims to redevelop Summerhall with money-making uses to subsidise the buildings’ arts centre, with nothing demolished. The vision has been published by Edinburgh-based architecture duo Malcolm Fraser and Robin Livingstone. They want to work with whoever buys the building, listed for sale, to ensure the cultural venue and creative industries hub remains intact, while also adding a hotel with a rooftop bar, a wedding/conference venue and student housing. - Brian Ferguson, The Scotsman.
⮑ Selling agents Cuthbert White told The Edinburgh Reporter they were ‘pleased with the number of interested parties’ and to expect ‘a second round of bidding shortly’.
⮑ Fraser Livingstone Architects’ blueprint was published on their Instagram page.
🚦 Corstorphine's low-traffic neighbourhood trial should be made permanent, local council officials have recommended, but with some key changes including reduced hours for a bus gate. - Donald Turvill, Local Democracy Reporter, STV News.

☕️ Salt Cafe in Morningside has been bought by the owners of Edinburgh Larder, reports Brian Donnelly in The Herald. - You can follow the cafe’s redevelopment on Instagram.
🍽️ ‘I tried dinner cooked by Edinburgh's best chef, in these iconic gardens after closing time’ - Gaby Soutar, The Scotsman.

A little disappointing to see the ‘10 most annoying people’ article shared here. I understand it’s “meant” to be humorous but at its heart it’s derisive and prejudicial. There’s more than enough of that kind of material out there; I’d rather not be directed to any of it here.
