🌤️ Good morning Edinburgh. There’s just one week until the festivals begin. I don’t feel prepared at all. You’d think I’d be organised but I’m really not. Just going to wing it! 🔥 The damaged caused by Wednesday night’s fire at Gorgie City Farm was confined to the stable block, with no injuries reported. - The council published this update.

🌼 12-year-old Archie MacPhie from Kirkliston has walked the equivalent of Edinburgh to Lapland and back in memory of his granny Sheena. The walk, totalling 2732 miles, raised funds for the hospice that cared for her. - Josh Carmichael, The Herald.
🧻 A new temporary toilet block will open on 2 August at Parliament Square, just off the Royal Mile, for the duration of the Fringe. - Fringe Society.
