Happy days! Today this publication has been handpicked by the Substack team to be featured on Discover in the Substack app, as well as Discover on the web. It’s a day of landmarks, as I also published my 100th post on here. None of these landmarks would have happened without you, the readers.

Contributions from readers are what make The Edinburgh Minute unique. No AI or algorithms could replace the knowledge we share together, collectively, about where we live. Every edition I post has contributions from all sorts of interesting local folks who read the newsletter, which makes it much more interesting and useful. That’s reflected in the feedback.

For balance, there have been one or two complaints from people who don’t want to pay for news. I always take the time to patiently remind them this newsletter is free and you only need to pay for the extras if you want to ✌️ The extras are the weekend ‘what’s on guide’ in Friday’s posts + The Edinburgh Culture Minute on Wednesdays.
